Regular and proper cleaning of refrigerated display cases not onlyextends the life of the equipment but also ensures food safety.
1.Pre-Cleaning Preparation
Before cleaning,be sure to follow these two points:
Safety First, Completely Disconnect the Power Supply: Before cleaning,be sure to unplug the power cord to prevent the risk of electric shock. Also, remove all food and temporarily store it in other refrigeratedequipment.
Area-Specific Cleaning GuidelinesCleaning methods and priorities vary for different areas due to theirfunction and material.
2. Detailed Cleaning Procedures
Safe Preparation and Emptying: First, disconnect the power supply to ensure safe operation. Then, remove all food from the cabinet and remove removable parts such as shelves and drawers.
Defrosting: If the ice is thick, defrost it first. Natural melting may take several hours. To speed up the process, place a basin of hot water inside the cabinet (with a towel underneath) to improve melting efficiency.
Interior Cleaning: For the cabinet interior and fixed parts, it is recommended to use a diluted neutral detergent (avoid strong acids, bases, or corrosive detergents, and do not use soapy water or dishwashing liquid directly). Commercial refrigerator-specific detergents are also available.
For stubborn stains or cracks in door seals, use an old toothbrush dipped in cleaning solution.
After cleaning, be sure to wipe away any remaining detergent with a soft cloth dampened with clean water and wrung out thoroughly.
Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet shell and door handles with a soft cloth dampened with clean water and a neutral detergent. Finally, wipe with clean water and dry with a dry cloth. Don't forget to clean the ventilation grilles. Dust easily accumulates here, so it's best to vacuum or use a soft-bristled brush. Keep them dry to prevent rust on the metal parts.
Disinfection (Recommended Regularly): Regular disinfection is crucial to ensure hygiene. You can wipe them twice with 75% alcohol or a 1000-2000mg/L quaternary ammonium disinfectant, leaving it on for 30 minutes before wiping them clean with water. The exterior of the cabinet can be disinfected with a 500mg/L chlorine-based disinfectant, also leaving it on for 30 minutes before wiping it clean with water.
Drying and Reassembly: After cleaning and disinfecting all components and the interior of the cabinet, ensure they are completely dry (either by air drying or wiping with a soft cloth) before reinstalling shelves, drawers, and other accessories.
Resuming Operation: Plug in the power cord and allow the refrigerated display cabinet to operate unloaded for approximately 30 minutes. Once the temperature has returned to the setpoint and the cabinet is operating normally, add food to the cabinet.
3. Daily Maintenance and Care Recommendations
Regular Cleaning Frequency: We recommend a thorough cleaning every two months. During daily use, any spills should be wiped clean immediately.
Regular Inspections:
Check the door seals to ensure they are tight and leak-free when closed.
Clean the condenser regularly to ensure proper heat dissipation.
Appropriate Use:
Store items within the cabinet appropriately, avoiding overcrowding or overpacking to allow for adequate circulation of cold air.
Minimize the frequency and duration of door openings to minimize cold air loss and compressor load.
Regularly check the temperature display to ensure the cabinet temperature remains within the set range (typically 3°C to 5°C for refrigerated storage).
